Create a branch version

Create a child version under the same asset when you want alternatives with lineage instead of a separate fork.

Create a child version under the same asset while preserving parent lineage.

Setup

  • Use Branch Version when the alternate belongs to the same creative object.
  • Set asset_id and parent_version_id.
  • Add branch metadata so reviewers know why it exists.

Steps

  1. Paste asset_id 32631e1c-411a-4ffb-a471-783d5b3e4263.
  2. Paste parent_version_id d325c84f-6c73-4ede-8749-aa30c52c7157.
  3. Queue and copy the new branch version_id.
  4. Use Compare Two Versions before promoting.
